The next update for Lone Fighter is here! Introducing new ships, power ups and more!
Greetings all,
The next update for Lone Fighter has been released and it contains one of the biggest patch notes so far so lets dive right into it. If you have any bugs please let me know.
The patch notes are:
Enemy Ships:
Elite Ships now fire x2 as fast as others
Boss Ships now shoot in 3 different directions (lasers do the same amount of damage)
Enemy Lasers are now slightly smaller
Enemy Lasers destroy Pick Ups on contact
Added new Alien Elite with new ammunition, smaller damage but more projectiles
Enemy spawning now gets progressively harder and more common
Player Ship:
Lasers are now slightly smaller
Laser Hit Box now correctly aligns to laser sprite size
Asteroids can damage Shields and Health
Added Health Packs to the game, chance drop from Boss Aliens
Added Shield Packs to the game, chance drop from Boss Aliens
Invincibility on respawn now works correctly
Asteroids:
New Sprite for when Asteroids explode, replaces generic Explosion
Asteroids are now responsive to contact from lasers
Asteroids can now fall in varying speeds
Asteroids can destroy Pick Ups on contact
Main Menu:
Added a main menu theme, can be muted in Options
Added a different movement control set up, changeable in the options menu
Added a different shooting control set up, changeable in the options menu
Shield & Health Packs picked up are tracked in the Stats screen.
Story Mode:
Added a Prologue screen with info and associated Buttons
Misc:
CKG has audio for our splash screen
Lots of under the hood changes to ease development
Known Bugs:
Asteroids are a little janky
Audio being muted is not saved
Some enemies spawn slightly off the map
