“Lenore Lost in the Dark” (or just “Lenore” as we affectionately refer to it) is a third-person exploration-survival game about childhood loss. The player assumes the role of Lenore, a young girl who is rudely snatched away from her pleasant life with her grandmother, only to find herself all alone in a dark and confusing maze of a world that is at once familiar and foreboding. She will need your help to navigate and emerge from this strange place, and back to her old life. Central to the gameplay is the use of different colors of light to navigate a dynamically changing maze. To find her way around, Lenore relies on different colored matches (and a lantern later) as the only source of light in total darkness. Different colors of matches will literally help Lenore see things in a different light, and reveal different paths for her to explore. The game is currently under development, and will be released early 2013. We hope to have a playable demo ready in the coming months.
