Landflix Odissey is a 2D platformer that ranges from classical to other typical run and gun and metroidvania gameplay types, in a delightful retro style drawn in pixel art. Play as Larry, a big lazy boy TV series watcher, who ends up in a dimension based on his favourite Landflix's shows (a video-on-demand parody). Make him travel through many environments to gather new powers, while helping the TV series characters defeating an evil genius who is trying to conquer their world. Help him gather blueprints for his scientist relative, “Uncle Doc”, to power up his own skills and win the battle. Main features you’ll enjoy in the game are: 5 worlds based on famous TV shows. 5 powers based on said shows plus Larry’s unique move, his huge burp. Power up your skills to increase your chance of saving the world. Defeat “The CEO’s minions” and other evil creatures trying to get the best of you. Fight 5 bosses and 5 minibosses based on your favourite antagonists.

Description

This video has been inspired by the special "Tv series, beer & pizza" night the creators of Fantastico Studio organised to cheer up one of them, who was going through a bad love situation, spending his time playing with video games and watching TV series all day long. They wanted to bring him out of his shell and came up with the main Landflix Odyssey’s idea: “Why don’t we create a videogame that brings you inside the awesome world of TV series people are so addicted with?!”. Given the immediate enthusiasm show by all of them, they started that same night to brainstorm concept ideas and basic game mechanics. The creative seed was then planted!
It’s set in an 80's environment and explains how everything’s started, from reality to the game. We wanted to show a wasted nerd but also to make people revive the many nights spent watching TV series at home eating pizza and drinking beer. We’re pretty sure it has happened to you as well!
