Kung Fu Kingdom is a Real Time Strategy game for the PC (And maybe soon Mac/iPad?) currently under development by Gorilla Tactics, an independent game developer.
In the Kung Fu Kingdom, you are the glorious new leader of a Kung Fu Temple! The monks who inhabit your temple are lazy, obnoxious, and a danger to themselves and others! It is your job to whip them into fighting shape, while expanding your temple complex and dealing with the many dangers living within the Kung Fu Kingdom.
Features:
Be a Leader, Not a Micro-Manager
A real-time strategy game with indirect control; decide what you want done, and your semi-autonomous monks will do their best to fulfill your wishes.
Explore a Dynamically Generated Kingdom!
A new and dangerous area is created every time you play, populated with evil demons, powerful empires, and potent relics. Choose your objectives and attempt to survive in the wild Kung Fu Kingdom.
Build Your Own temple!
Customize and build your Kung Fu Temple, renowned far and wide for its righteousness or corruption.
Make Decisions That Matter!
Play in a single-player sandbox where your actions in each game will have a lasting effect in every other game you play.
Help Your Monks Find Glory!
Help your Hero Monks complete one of several life-quests, such as to become the greatest swords-monk ever, master the art of statue making, or perhaps finding the man-bear-ninja who killed their father!
This time around I used text instead of words because I'm housed up somewhere without a good microphone. HOW DARE THESE PLEBEIANS NOT HAVE HIGH QUALITY RECORDING EQUIPMENT!
Anyway, less texting more video..ing.
So I've showed off the World Generator before, and now the Territory generator. What's the difference, you say? Well Phil (Your name is now Phil) the World Map is like a... uh... map of the world, where the Territory map is more like a map of a city, or your local town. The Territory map is where you play the game, so to speak. Command your monks (or try to), and face down horrible enemies (or run away).
Each territory is generated based on its biome type, and the biome types of the territories that surround it on the world map. A random pattern is then chosen for each biome type, and it is placed on the territory. For patterns I mean stuff like "Circle" or "Semi circle" or "small groupings of islands", etc.
I'll have more to show off soon, once we get the water color washes implemented and some actual trees and objects and what not put in.
A quick post on how we are dealing with Territory Generation. With pictures (oh my!).
The Kung Fu Kingdom Title Track. Give your ears a break from hearing nothing, and give them something!
A quick note on how we are adding a variety of behaviors to the AI in Kung Fu Kingdom.
Tracking this. It looks like it could be a very interesting game!
Awesome company logo, instantly caught my eye (just had to mention it :P). Great music. Animations look good. Definitely tracking. :D
Thanks for letting me know! I've always thought it was pretty boss, but hearing it from the people who matter is the best.
i like this game grafic
Why not on desura!? Huh?
We will release on any distribution channel we can get our hands on, including from our website. The more people playing, the merrier!
We are working out the details to see how much work would be involved in creating an auto-updater for the client, so people can get the new changes and features we create pulled to their client whenever they get started up.
FAIL
Kung Fu came from China.
Anyways... tracking.
Sotoku,
Kung Fu Kingdom is a satire on all things martial arts in general - so we may be bending historical fact to suit our needs JUUUUUUUST a little. Thanks for watching!

Oh really?
Maybe you should include all martial arts from around the world just to liven things up a bit. En.wikipedia.org
More martial arts equals more units.
Any super special techniques for your guys to find?
Special moves are on our wish list for an updated release after we finish the core gameplay. Technique Scrolls will be scattered around the world like normal objects. By Enshrining these in your temple, the player can slowly increase all of her units proficiency in this special move by having them train at a Practice Dummy or an Archery Target. (All monks are treated as equal, so the only difference in having multiple monks train at the dummies is that your monks will gain experience faster).
Here is an early prototype that somehow didn't make it onto our youtube channel. Youtube.com
The circles are Ground Slams, which stun enemies. The triangle is Tornado (actually a scream ability, whatever), which blows back enemies. Youtube.com
