King Arthur II: The Role-playing Wargame demo
Demo 2 commentsThe demo version of King Arthur II: The Role-playing Wargame.
“When the greatest tale of chivalry ends, the nightmare begins.”
Well known are the legends of the young Arthur, who pulled the enchanted sword from the stone, united the war-torn land of Britannia, and gathered the Knights of the Round Table under his banner. That story ended with Arthur securing peace in Camelot, aided by the might of the Holy Grail – and it is here that our own gruesome tale begins...
King Arthur II is a Role-playing Wargame, or, in other words, a unique blend of RPGs and strategy games. The gameplay on the Campaign Map is turn-based and the battles are huge real-time assaults, where you can focus on choosing the right tactics in the heat of the battle.
You will see plenty of RPG elements as well – like Quests, also known as Knightly adventures, detailed character development, artifacts, and many more.

This game is amazing!
It's very under-rated!
It's badly optimized though.You can get 30FPS max :P
But why did i give it 10\10?
Gameplay is amazing,Graphics are amazing, animations are amazing and WILLIAM PENDRAGON AND SIR LANCELOT ARE BADASSES! XD
This game has a terrible rating and people say there are "many game breaking bugs" honestly the only thing I have encountered with it was crashing at the loading screen but I solved that by opening up the game through the files rather than steam. Other than that the only problem I've had with it was a single crash during gameplay and I've played the game about 12 hours so far, also keep in mind my graphics card is extremely old and crashes with a lot of games but has been able to run this one fine for the most part. Aside from all the "game breaking bugs" that others have experienced, I love this game.
Had the makings of a great Franchise.... But they killed it with fire and bugs. Really would have been a good game if you could actually play it.
Beware - Abandonware -> Developer is no longer supporting the Game. Last Patch is from July 2012. And a lot of Gamebreaking Bugs are not Fixed.
Cheers from a grumpy Steam Owner of the Game.
Requires Steam to run? Whats that supposed to mean?
It means there's literally no reason to buy it here. I buy games on Desura because I want them on Desura, so there's nothing here for me.
Paradox have basically adopted a policy of making their games Steam only.
'Paradox have basically adopted a policy of making their games Steam only."
I can't understand their reasoning. Why would you want to limit yourself to only one distribution platform/store( even if it is the dominant one)?
GamersGate has this DRM free. Maybe Desura should inquire about getting a DRM free version also.
Not a bad idea, but unlikely to work. GamersGate got the game before Paradox changed their policy.

Thanks for making it clear to other members.
I hope the publishers take time to create a version that is Desura-friendly (NO Steam!) instead of infecting us with Steamworks.
As for the developers.... Think of the sales your publisher has cost you.
It's a Steam Game.
