Happy Friday!

“Just Keep Running: Chapter 1 (Original Game Soundtrack)” is out now! You can find it on YouTube, and Bandcamp, AND you’ll get the original master files as a bonus if you decide to pay $2 for the game.

The soundtrack will be available on most major streaming services soon, we’ve just had some difficulties with our distributor which should hopefully be resolved soon :D

We also have some fun things to share about Just Keep Running, so keep reading if you haven’t already started listening to the soundtrack.

For a little while now, Chapter 2 of our game is fully written and ready to be converted into… well, the actual game!

The name of Chapter 2 will be “Six Feet Under” and in it you’ll be able to enjoy a new set of 4 levels in the following order…

  • 2-1: Extreme Testing Scenarios
  • 2-2: New Age Technology
  • 2-3: The Pincer Movement
  • 2-4: Elevator Pitch

The “Modular Variable Savefile System” is coming together!

In short, to make other elements of the game like the Upgrade System and much more, we’ve made a simple but efficient way to make encrypted savefiles that can write, read and locally save any kind of serializable variable or class in C#.

It’s gotten pretty good, and we’re happy about its implementation into our game, so we are thinking about sharing the system via GitHub so that others can both use it in Unity AND improve on it 😀

We’ll give more details about it in the future, so keep an eye open…

MagicaVoxel → Unity Video Tutorial

We published an article that showed our process for importing voxel models into Unity, since we felt that there wasn’t a single source which provided the full solution.

We turned that article into a more condensed Video version, which you can watch on our YouTube channel! We hope you find it useful.

If you enjoyed the soundtrack, you can also download Version 1.1.1 of Just Keep Running right here! You can also check us out on our socials!
