Summary:
JunkerBot is a solo-developed Single-player Car Combat game, where you destroy, recycle, and replicate vehicles, use resources to upgrade your base and DECONTAMINATE!.

Main Features:

  • 3D skillful Car Combat where every vehicle is unique in some way.
  • Explore from a top-down perspective, a desert filled with enemy bases to destroy, mining outposts to take advantage of, and dangerous convoys.
  • 8 upgradeable faction based vehicles to unlock and 9 unique/secret cars too.
  • Simple base building mechanics to manage your vehicles and unlock useful stuff like a deployable suicidal explosive RC car!
  • A backstory to unravel, and give context to the world. (not yet, I’m working on this)
  • Online Coop challenges to unlock and play with a friend, or alone if you want a real challenge.
  • Multiple-barreled mortar turrets and Land Torpedoes!


Story:
In a very distant future,
The last human starship, after surviving a mysterious catastrophe, is now looking for the next earth-like planet to colonize.
They found "G-581g", a known earth-like exoplanet, has now developed vegetation and a breathable atmosphere.
So, to begin the construction of the future colonies, many "Replicator" bots are sent.

You are one of the robots.

Your mission is to gather resources and build everything needed for humans to descend from the starship and successfully colonize the planet.
after a rough landing on G-581g something goes wrong with the battery and you are forced to shut down and replicate an emergency solar panel to recharge.

Next thing you know, you boot up in the middle of an electric storm, battery is full, but something is off,
there's no connection to the starship.
also, why is there an old rusty armored vehicle next to you?


More Info:
The player will have to keep his base alive and build the best vehicle possible to destroy every hostile life-form on the planet.
There's 2 factions in the area where the game will take place.

- The "AirBurn"
All their vehicle designs are based on old aerial vehicles, but with wheels, and 2 sets of guns.
They mostly use fast-firing Auto-cannons
Their smaller vehicles tend to drift easily to keep themselves from being an easy target
The bigger ones use more explosive methods of survival

- The "WarMetal"
All their designs are based on robust architecture and use a tank-like configuration of wheels.
They like to use slower big-caliber cannons, and have access to laser technology.

v0.5 allows factions to kill each-other better, encounters are no longer limited to 6 vehicles in total.

Also, I have changed the way the demo works, instead of being a piece of the main (unfinished) game, with some story or other elements, I want it to demonstrate how the “meat” of the game feels (the vehicle combat), it will randomly pick a vehicle for you and spawn some enemies of either faction, or both, so there's a 3 way battle, and it may give you some deployable things to help. (like this turret)

hi, i very much like this game and i had a question. when fighting the enemy base, after you kill the base colims what do you do :)

Im a sucker for anything diesel-punk. your fighter reminds me of a model a did for fun awhile back Dieselpunks.org. Dieselpunks.org

its made from a Spitfire and i named it Gun Runner and the big one is a Avro Lancaster no name for it yet.

really like your game and ill keep a watch on it :)

Hi!
After you kill the base's columns, first you get out of the way, and then you'll see the path to the north is now clear.

For now I'm using bases as a way to unlock new territories to explore in SP, they also serve other functions like sending guards to mining camps and sending convoys to get resources from them (resources will be limited in the future).

Nice models btw, that Lancaster is crazy :D i love it, and yeah the fighter, and many others, are inspired on random things i find around the internet, mainly Pinterest (with my personal twist on them of course).

Thanks. I still have a lot of work to do to them but i like how there truing out. (Hay any ideas on a name for the Lancaster? :) )

When fighting the enemy base I git stuck in the game and cant leave, when i take off all the armor around the columns they only go down to 4% health.

ah crap, last time i tested the base's death it worked, gonna test it again right now and see if something broke, maybe I'll just change the whole health system for the columns, thanks for telling me.

for the naming, well, that Lancaster is huge so it needs a name that invokes something big or important, if you want to go the animal route you can always combine something with rhino or mammoth, i personally like to combine more apocalyptic words like Armageddon, but aside from being big, it has 8 wheels, so calling it octo-something could work, also one of the Lancasters used in WW2 was codenamed "Abnormal" and that's a cool inspiration on it's own heheh.

Alright so, first things first: THANK YOU, you were completely right, the main base got glitched after i changed a few things with the whole HP system (for some reason i didn't test that out after the changes, sorry about that), it's fixed now, but the new version is going to be a bit different, you'll see what i mean when it finishes uploading.
