8-bits of side-scrolling action inspired by the martial arts and parkour. There have been many attempts at combining the side-scrolling platformer and fighting game genres, and while there are some notable failures, the more successful titles falling under this category seem to sacrifice the level of depth found in fighting games. Jump/Boxer retains that depth, with speed, power, height, range, and the blocking of attacks coming into play within it's tricky jumping mechanics. And since this game is a platformer first, players will be tested with jumping puzzles that make use of the environment to scale walls, clear gaps, and avoid cleverly placed traps. Classic gaming staples are also present amongst all of the running and jumping performed by Dag, a zoned-out, performance artist, having players progress through levels in a straight-forward fashion with a boss at the end of each level.
