Jump Space is the hottest spot for aspiring video game characters to learn how to jump. For someone whose jumping isn't exactly in Meat Boy shape, however, it may turn into an embarassing experience, especially with a cheeky narrator supplying commentary along the way. Inspired by The Stanley Parable, Portal, and pretty much everything by CROWS CROWS CROWS, Jump Space is the heartlukewarming tale of an NPC with a dream of being a real video game character. This is a prototype made as part of an ongoing project to complete one game per week for the next two months. I may return to this concept in the future to make a completed version of the game.

Description

Jump Space is a comedic 2D walking simulator inspired by The Stanley Parable, Getting Over it With Bennett Foddy, and Portal. It's about a Non Player Character who goes to a clinic to learn how to jump like a real video game superstar. Things go... poorly. I'm gonna call this a complete prototype episode. It was made in a week so obviously has some bugs and lacks a few features I would have loved to implement but I learned a lot and hope to return to this concept after finishing my game-a-week challenge.
