For months, we’ve kept you waiting with baited breath. New additions to the closed beta, contests offering access – we at ISOTX have tried to give a large group of people a chance to try the game out. And now we’ve finally decided to yank back the curtains for all of our fans. The open beta for Iron Grip: Marauders is here! There will be new players on the forums and anyone who has been eagerly awaiting beta access will be able to jump in at any time. Yeah, it's a good time to be a fan.

The world you enter in Marauders is one ravaged by civil unrest. Your conquest begins in the land of Kathos, a region controlled by the Rahmos Protectorate. The rulers of Rahmos (you might remember the factions from Iron Grip: The Oppression) have ordered the troops occupying Kathos to the southern border to prepare for impending war with rival superpower, the Fahrong Confederation (the central antagonists of the previous title, Iron Grip: Warlord). In their absence, much of Kathos has been left unprotected, paving the way for Marauders – mercenary pirates whose ranks range from highly trained ex-military officials to the common thief. It’s paved the way for you.

For those new to the game and our community, here’s what you need to know in order to get started: Iron Grip: Marauders continues the story of the Iron Grip universe where Warlord and Lords of War left off. You assume the role of an airship captain and engage in vivid 3D battles (against both AI and other players) in order to capture the resources you need to expand your forces and territory. The game is a turn-based strategy title that takes advantage of Unity’s browser engine to allow players to play on any computer they have access to. And best of all? It’s free! All you have to do is register to have access.

Your destiny is in your hands alone. Are you ready to build your army and seize a portion of Kathos for yourselves?

Getting started on Iron Grip: Marauders is easy. You simply visit the website (which you've already done!) at Igmarauders.isotx.com and click ‘register.’ Once you’ve signed up, you’ll have access to the game as well as the forums, which have a friendly community eager to help new players. The game also possesses a helpful tutorial in order to get you started. Our community is extremely friendly, too; just ask in the chat if you need help and someone will step up! Below are some screenshots of the Iron Grip: Marauders interface and battles, exactly what you’ll be getting when you sign up to play. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

the art style of the units seems reminiscent of red alert 3, with the terrain warcraft-ish but it looks great for a browser game. :)

It'd really be interesting to learn more about IsoTX business model. I wonder, how they make money on their games. Somehow they must, or else there wouldn't be so many games produced in so little time.

Looks great! Tried to play it but at random times I wasn't able to select anything or click buttons, so wasn't able to play a lot.

That's really odd. Can you email me at jayme@isotx.com and provide some more details about these problems - like what browser you're using and when that occurred? I'd be much obliged!

I gave you an upvote because that's something that seriously does need to be fixed. So annoying. >_>
