It is done!
The first internal alpha of "Into the Ice" has been included in the Desura Version of Into the Dark . So, if you bought our beloved Trash experience here, you already own the first ITE alpha. Now you will ask yourself where to find your very own trip into chilly Antarctica.
Got to your desura Install folder, usually it should be in your program files folder on your system harddrives root. There, where the Into the Dark Game Exe is, you will find a whole new folder containing the ITEAlpha.
Please note that Into the ICE requires several runtime updates to work properly, it is a new exe structure compared to Into the Dark. So, if the game doesn´t start, move to the Alpha folder and start the batch files for installing the required runtimes and the proper DirectX.
I don´t own Into the Dark Desura Edition! How can I get the Alpha?
Don´t panic, there are several ways to let you journey into the ice:
1. Buy Into the Dark here on Desura. You will get the "Trash Game of the Year 2012 Edition" of "Into the Dark" in addition to the ICE Alpha.
2. Wait for the IndieGoGo campaign we will start on Monday, 26th of August and back with an amount that unlocks the Alpha Access
3. Wait for the Alpha Funding for Into the Ice starting the very same day.
