"Gifted", as you put it, was a word created by lazy people who make themselves feel better by praising those who have "Skill" as if they were blessed with divine powers that are unable to reach.
It's not impossible to reach if you've the dedication and willpower to improve.
Jesus Christ, how many ships do they need for this game? Koshime already painted dozens and still there are more, new concepts. Got to be Epic. Space, I don't think it can look any better than where Infinity is taking it. So I can go there, after all ;)

Woah that's a steady hand. I always thought the concept was totally shopped.
What kind of markers are they that are used?
Could do with something similar on few concepts I've got myself, as things stand they only line drawings and pretty lifeless.

I wish I could draw like that! It must have taken a lot of time and effort to become so talented at it, congratulations.
As for the video, I think it was a great idea, it's really interesting to see process involved with creating the concept drawings, keep up the good work!
