Will there be ground fighting also with ur ships>?>?/
Beatiful water
Yes nice textured look. Actualy makes the land look too flat :P Prehaps some white surf at the shore would improve the realisem?

Very nice, there are a few touchups to be made I am sure so great job.
(for the abovge quote) Lets say your fighting in space, but want to get away from your enemy (I am guessing) You will be able to fly into a planets atmoshpere and fly around ina nd out of moutians to yes, have ground fighting
OR The land is to land on for missions or something....
It's *sniff* beautiful!
You will spend a large amount of time on the planets so ofcourse there will be a lot to do.
ex: You will be able to explore the surface of all the planets(minus gas giants) and it will be possible to find cities, ruins, primitive alien lifeforms,...
Space ships will be able to fight on the planets and we might add some ground vehicles too.
Thanks and yes its all work-in-progress. The rendering of water is extremely basic at this point, we've only created a simple shader that generates a per-pixel water normal by blending together 4 normal maps coming from perlin noise fBm.
Ive always been baffled to see real effects gain relism in games, starting from the water in morrowind to this, Its absolutely amazing. You have me watching this mod with both my eyes! I would offer to help with any modelling you might need but at the moment im barged with stuff.
Everyone ignores the atmospherical effects, which look ****-hot.
just looking at this .. wow the only word i can say is incredible.
The atmosphere in this game are amazing. One thing that separates this game from others is that while most games use skyboxes this does not. The sky really is a sky rather than an image. While most games try to simulate clouds if you look at the horizon here it looks more realistic than most simulations because it doesn't just simulate the appearance of a cloud it simulates atmosphere which is heftier and much more practical as it can then possibly create its own weather patterns for the planet. Is weather simulation going to be in this like natural air streams or storms such as hurricanes or even simple thunderstorms? From what little I know of procedural programming I'm wondering if this type of programming could also be used for this reason.
