Here's the latest trailer:
For those of you who haven't heard about the game yet:
In Between is an atmospheric platformer where you solve mind-bending puzzles by manipulating your surroundings and gravity itself. There's also a tragic story to the game as it is set in the protagonist's head, who knows that he will die.
Many thanks to everyone who supported us so far! It's one thing to build a game as a prototype, but it's a completely different thing to finish it.
Last but not least: Enjoy playing! :)
After 2,5 years of development we are really happy to announce that In Between will come to Steam on 21st August 2015.
We are really happy to announce that we are nominated for the German Game Award. Since we are still students, we are nominated in the category "best junior...

I really hope this game takes off and becomes a worldwide success. The concept is very powerful and moving, and your original music is incredible, and really brings to life the emotions of the protagonist. The gameplay looks interesting, challenging, and rewarding. Keep up the great work - I look forward to its official release, thank you!
Thank you for your comment. We are glad that you like the music.
Holy crap this is amazing. I honestly was expecting something totally different. This game should have way more attention than it does. Unless it has a lot of attention that is... :) Well anyways, back to immersing myself in a game-world that is absolutely gorgeus, i'll try to remember to feed myself
Thanks, really glad that you like it. Thanks for the nice words!
Following up on my previous video, here's the "Secret Mode" that I wanted to check before but misunderstood (SPOILER ALERT):
Just covered this game on YouTube! What a great game... highly recommend everyone that has a chance try it out.
I have to say you have some really bold claims.
This could be said for most mainstream games yes, but that is because that's not their purpose, and even then, some of those handle it really well.
However this also won't be the first game on the indie scene who thought about this subject/made a game about this. For a quick example "Eternally Us"; "To the Moon" and maybe even "Fixation" comes to mind.
I understand the need for some sort of marketing description/summary, but claiming this is something entirely new is an overstatement to say the least.
With that said I also want to note that I really like the artstyle and, while the gameplay and story is nothing new to me, it can be done well if you have enough passion for it, so go forth and good luck.
hey otter,
thanks for your comment. you totally have a point about the bold claims. this is one of our first public announcements and i guess we still have to learn a lot about marketing, advertisement and choosing the right tone for the claims.
it is true that there are a lot of great indie games (some of them you already mentioned) with the topic life and death. we chose this claim, because in a lot of games (especial AAA) you really don´t get a feeling for the value of life.
we also don´t mean that "the value of life" has to be a main topic for most games. our goal is to create a game that offers you to reflect about the value and meaning of it. we may see if we achieve this.
about the gameplay: the gravity-mechanic is nothing new, that´s true. there are games like (vvvvvv, gravity duck etc.). we tried to find new ways to use the mechanic by having game-objects which react on the change of the gravity.
We try to present the story in an immersive, interactive way without text or cutscenes. This, of course, is nothing new either but rather unusual to the genre of a typical platform game.
If you haven't already played it, we would like to invite you to play our first demo.
I've checked the let's play you posted an I liked the idea of a "without narration" game, and some of the gameplay elements were unique (well for me at least) so well done so far.
