Impulse! Is a murder mystery, interactive visual novel. You play as Chris who, with your band, must solve the mystery behind the recent murders in the local music scene. If you're a fan of Phoenix Wright or Dangan Ronpa, then you'll be right at home with Impulse!

A local singer is murdered at a concert you were performing at, the police have no suspects. It's up to you and your bandmates to figure out who did it. By collecting evidence and debating to reach a consensus the band can confront their suspect!

Status

Our first demo is almost ready for release! Check back for the link on (or around) 9/25/2015!

Expect the full release in 2016.

Soundtrack

Impulse! features an entirely original score, from the music in each scene, to the songs the bands play throughout the game. Recording is ongoing, so I hope to be able to share more soon!

In addition, the game is fully voice acted and I do mean fully! Of course, you can turn some or all of these off if you want.

Development & Future Plans

I am a solo developer, but currently on track for an early to mid 2016 release. Announcing more platforms shortly! Please stay tuned.

Okay, so this is detective visual novell, with a very nice visuals and FULL english voiceover. I'm not sure if this VN mimicking japanese detective anime cliches, but here you can find something like beach special, blue icecream and girls dressed Nana style. Aside from that this game also inclides point and click part where you look for the evidence and stuff.

+Visuals are great, nice character design nice backgrounds, glad that nonjapanese devs moving in the right direction.
+Full voice over - even the sidecharacters voiced
+Ost - personally like it
+Now with a steam cards
-Sometimes visuals goes fullderp and that kills the detective atmosphere
-Lack of save slots
-Minor bugs, but since this is super early review i guess by the time you read it, they are fixed :)

This looks very promising! The artwork is quite nice, the story is engaging, and I was satisfied with the voice acting. I'm looking forward to the release of the full game. Here's my play through of the demo: Youtube.com
