does this version still work with achievements?

I haven’t tested this version specifically for that (I already have most of the achievements, so it’s a bit difficult) but previous versions have worked with achievements and I have no reason to believe that that has changed.

Can confirm, you still get achievements. I got two for beating the "dream" forms of a couple of bosses yesterday, with the DLLs swapped (modded)

hi, i've opened up the managed folder, and saw these 3 files named
Assembly-CSharp.dll,Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll,and Assembly-CSharp-invulnerable-1432.dll. What do I do from here?

I have no idea what's going on but this version breaks gamepad support. No input is recognized at all, and disconnecting then reconnecting the gamepad crashes the game. I have made sure the versions match.

Hi, unfortunately this mod does break controller support on Mac and Linux, controllers should work on PC however. Disabling the mod using the instructions in the readme should allow you to use the controller again. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Can invulnerability be turned on and off ingame? Cause I only need it for Grimm haha.

Sorry, but you do need to close out of the game to toggle invulnerability on and off. I think there's another mod available somewhere that lets you do this in-game, but I haven't looked into it because I don't actively play the game much anymore. Good luck with Grimm!

Hi! My game opens but there is only a black screen after that, I was wondering if there's anyone willing to help troubleshoot?

I don't understand. I checked the readme and did everything it said, but it just keeps saying "Failed to load" every time I boot up Hollow Knight. I am downloading the right version. Is there are specific installer I need.

Darn, that sounds like a version mismatch, but if you definitely have the right version then I'm not sure. My advice:

1) be *absolutely sure* that the mod file is named "Assembly-CSharp" with the file extension ".dll"

2) make sure you leave "Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll" in place

3) try starting over with a clean install of the game

Good luck!

OMG YES! I love you for that! I don't find joy in suffering into radiant markoth, but I just wanna ask one thing: If newer version comes out, do I simply delete the modded file and rename the original one?

So, I did the things it told me to do but I still take damage. I renamed the file in managed, so I don't know what I'm missing

Worked for me!

I followed the first guide I found to downpatch from 1.5 to 1.4 through Steam so the mod would be compatible:

Speedrun.com

When you actually download the mod it contains two files: one is called "Assembly-CSharp-invulnerable-1432.dll" and the other is called "README.txt"

The text file has step-by-step instructions for installing the mod on Windows and Mac.

Basically you copy "Assembly-CSharp-invulnerable-1432.dll" to Hollow Knight's installation folder (the folder's full name is given in the instructions). There's a file already there called Assembly-CSharp; if you change the modded file's name to that, and the original to something different, the mod runs when you open the game.

I haven't turned the mod off yet, but since it just involves reverting the names of the files back I assume it works fine.

Just make sure that the modded file and the original file aren't both named "Assembly-CSharp.dll" because if you do the game won't open; it freaked me out a little when it happened to me but it was an easy fix.

If anyone knows how to find a mod that lets you toggle this one on or off in-game then please drop it in the comments.
