Use computers (via GUIs or the command line), unlock doors, crawl through vents, fight enemies head on or find other ways to neutralize or avoid them...

High Entropy: Challenges is a free, action-adventure FPS (inspired by some of my favorite immersive sims) consisting of a beginning, 15 levels, a default ending and a special ending if you finish with a 100% score in all levels.

This looks amazing, I also like the retro-looking good old character-based GUI.

This is really cool. I love the style and feel you're going for. As soon as I jacked in I knew what I'd need to enter into that first keypad...

Two things that I wanted to mention while they were fresh in my mind.

1. Please allow FOV options in the final version. The default here is a bit low, IMO.

2. Please support the numpad for entering codes. It's incredibly satisfying to interact with keypads this way as opposed to mouse only.

Looking forward to playing more and supporting a full release!

Thanks!
Yes, I plan to add an FOV slider in the options at some point. And supporting the numpad for the keypads sounds cool and easy to add, so it's now in the ToDo list.

Not too sure about the current AI voice: it kind sounds silly and maybe be detrimental to the scary atmosphere you're trying to build for your game.

The AI voice sound is off in the current version. After some people told me they didn't like it and why, I decided that the AI messages will be text only for now.

Have you considered making them soliloquies from the protagonist, like in Penumbra?

Thanks for your input. Yes, but I prefer it this way, it fits in the story and is one of the tools I use to provide info about it. The AI is also a way to provide help with things that the main character (and by extension the player) may not have thought, noticed or known about in a 'realistic'/logical way. Finally, I also like not hearing the protagonist's voice, it helps me with the immersion as a player.

If I recall right, Penumbra protagonist remains mute during gameplay and his soliloquies are text-only.

The reason why I'm suggesting that is because the AI seems to speak in an oddly human informal manner. Maybe it's intended but it doesn't sound like a computer program to me.

Well, it's not something we have right now but I believe someday we'll be able to create AIs capable of interacting with humans fluently, not at all like a 'computer program'. And it's not a strange concept in popular fiction, there are many examples of AIs similar to that, like HAL 9000, Glados... Anyway, in the world/time my story takes place in, someone has already designed one of those and the main character carries one.
