Well i tried the demo and i am sorry to bring you bad news,but i will.The game runs terribly for me first off the whole sea is a bright pink thing,with no waves no nothing just pink.The create a character menu was baggy for example i clicked the done button(after i customized and named my character) for over a million times because it was not responding at all.About the control of our character i would like to control the camera angle directly or have a first person option,since many times the camera is pointing in the wrong angle.When i reached the ship and started the tutorial i wanted to test the cannons out and despite the hint saying that i could change the angle of fire i didnt see any indicator of it change while pressing the respective buttons,also there were no cannonballs to be found just cannon sounds.At this point i figured that the demo is too buggy for me so i closed it.I didn't write this to criticize you since you are doing this for free i just wanted to give you feedback :)
Thanks for your feedback, we do appreciate it. That's a weird issue you're having with the water. What are your PC specs?
Regarding character control, the camera is something we're looking to improve. It's something of a temporary solution for now, as the main focus has been on sailing and ship combat.
Any plans for a Linux demo?
We do want to look into Linux and Mac releases later on, but for now we're working on Windows builds only. We will let you know as soon as a Linux build is available!

I haven't tried this version yet but the two previous ones installed fine but would crash when I tried to start it. Will try this one. This weekend
I seem to be getting version 0.1.15092.0 from this download link -- no other ships, just sailing between the islands as in earlier demos.
I just tried it myself and got the same thing, Looking in to it now mate.
Somehow the links got mixed up during an internal download, the file above is indeed the September release. Sorry about the confusion, we will have the new download up as soon as we have it confirmed and working.
Where are those AI enemy ships supposed to be? All I have is some barges to shoot at, although I can't reach the farther ones because the ship turns too slowly and tends to start spontaneously drifting to starboard.
The yards also don't brace automatically with the wind, and there is no evidence of any wind at all.
There were some technical issues with the last upload, and a fatal bug in the October demo. We should have a new one up shortly.
