Travel through a beautiful, fictional rendition of the 16th century of Feudal Japan. Choose between four types of warriors as you learn to master intuitive, directionally-driven swordplay while also choosing unique abilities to ensure victory over your foes. Join your friends in an immersive multiplayer campaign across Japan in pursuit of either preserving the peace and honor of the Emperor or bringing on chaos and death by playing across four different game modes with different objectives and strategies. Whether you prefer the blade wielding Kenshi or Naginata Samurai, the range and precision of the Samurai Archer, or the deceptive Ninja, the options are vast and the battles fierce.

Mpact Games, a small team of developers united to make a single game, today announced that Hanako: Honor & Blade, an immersive online multiplayer combat experience set in Feudal Japan, will launch on Steam for PC in summer 2021. The move to a full launch follows the game’s successful Early Access program and a MegaGrant awarded by Epic Games.

We're pleased to announce that with help from our Epic MegaGrant that we received on the 13 year anniversary of the passing of the one we are making this game to pay tribute to, that Hanako: Honor & Blade will finally leave Early Access and transition into full release later this Summer of 2021.

We are thrilled to see light at the end of the tunnel after such a long development cycle, at night time after our jobs with zero budget and be self-publishing. It's been a whirlwind and we've been so excited to share the new trailer, and updated content as we polish the game.
