The second game in the Gundemonium trilogy, and continues the tale of humanity's war with hell brought on by alchemy. Its gameplay is a second extra-strength dosage of the kind of bullet-hell shoot-'em-up pandemonium found in Gundemonium Recollection, but with a dramatically game-altering "Flip Turn" ability. If you're tired of getting flanked in other shoot-'em-ups, now you can turn the tables and get your revenge. GundeadliGne also supports two-player cooperative play, so a friend can join the action and cover your six.

Summer's here! Avoid sunburns and mosquitos this year by staying inside with this bundle of Indie Royale fun!

Posted by on

The Indie Royale game bundle site tempts you to stay inside during the warm summer months with the Summer Bundle, featuring eight brilliant independent games available at a bargain, fluctuating price.

First up is award-winning arcade real-time strategy game from Oxeye Game Studio, Harvest: Massive Encounter, co-created by current Minecraft lead coder Jens Bergensten, and downloadable for Windows, Mac and Linux on Steam, Desura and DRM-free. In this RTS/tower defense title making its first-ever bundle inclusion, offering battles of epic proportions with a unique style of resource management and exploration. According to IGN, "Harvest is a tower defense game with a goal of achieving high scores rather than a congratulatory, 'You've triumphed! The galaxy is safe again,' followed by a 'Game Over.'" So it's a perfect way to while away the summer days inside!

Next up is a brand new update of a classic point-and-click adventure game from SkyGoblin Games,The Journey Down: Chapter One available for Windows, Mac and Linux on Desura and DRM-free. Play Bwana and his trusted sidekick Kito who struggle to make ends meet at their run-down gas station, as they embark on a spine-tingling adventure far from home and into a twisting plot of corruption and danger. Kotaku describes The Journey Down as a "delightful change of pace... (the) Afro-Caribbean setting is one that's very rarely used in video games, and comes with a great palette of colors and art to pull from."

Also making a bundle debut is the long-lost Serious Sam II, Croteam's twitch-tastic 2005 shooter sequel, brought back by Devolver Digital in 2012, and now available for Windows on Steam. IGN said of the game at the time of its release: "The action is fast and intense from start to finish. You'll have tons of beasts to blast and a wide variety of vibrant levels to run through" - and that's still just as true now!

Also included in this bundle a four-pack of top imported Japanese shmups from Rockin' Android, starting with all three games from Platine Dispositif's 'Gundemonium' trilogy, available for Windows on Steam, Desura and DRM-Free: Gundemonium Recollection, GundeadliGne and Hitogata Happa. These three games, which span both horizontal and vertical scrolling, offer remarkably complex, yet flexible gameplay as you enjoy bullet-hell shoot-'em-up gameplay in a cartoonish steampunk universe. Notably, DIYGamer says of the collection: these games "have huge replay value. They’re score-attack games, intended to be played dozens of times on a variety of modes and mastered thoroughly over time."

The fourth game from Rockin' Android is Orange_Juice's Acceleration of Suguri-X Edition, available for Windows on Desura and DRM-Free. According to GameSpot, this game "offers a delicious mix of arena fighting and bullet-hell chaos." By mixing a shmup and competitive arena fighting, Acceleration of Suguri-X Edition offers a depth-filled game, inspired by Japanese titles like Senko No Ronde, and featuring eleven levels of gameplay, a techno-trance soundtrack and schoolgirls who duke it out over who gets to eat the last pudding on earth. What more could you ask for?

Finishing everything up, the bundle also features Dino Run SE from Pixeljam, available for Windows, Mac and Linux on Desura and DRM-Free. This pixel-heavy indie classic is presented in a Special Edition, enhancing the Flash original with speed runs, extra multiplayer maps, hats, and other notable upgrades. Based off a pixelated prehistoric world, escape the inevitable doom wave of extinction by controlling a speedy raptor across tar pits, crumbling hillsides and meteorite showers while gobbling up anything that gets in the way.

As a one-off bonus, the bundle also includes another chance to get your hands on a Steam Windows Beta key to hot F2P action-RTS AirMech, with bonus in-game item: an exclusive Indie Royale "Fleur de Lis" Companion/Pet for your AirMech! Excusive to the Summer Bundle, this is one of the very first cosmetic items for AirMech. AirMech is still in closed beta on Steam right now, making these codes very difficult to come by, so many thanks to Carbon Games for partnering with us to offer these keys to all our valued customers.

Finally, those who pay $8 USD or their currency equivalent during the Summer Bundle will get 'Pixeljams Volume 1' compilation - featuring tunes from top electronic artists like Miles Tilmann, Datassette, Mark DeNardo, + Dosh - normally a $5 value on its own. This collection of new and old tracks from the Pixeljam team (Dino Run) offers up nine tracks of pure bleepy joy. Included in Pixeljams Volume 1 is the Wiretap EP (Kate Simko + Miles Tilmann) and a goodie bag of images, animations and other PixelJam-related stuff.

Also don't forget that Indie Royale just launched its Collection feature. This is a page where Indie Royale purchasers can earn loyalty rewards, manage keys for already-purchased bundles, and add already-completed bundles to their Wishlist for possible bundle reappearances! More info on the Indie Royale Collection is available via this blog post.

More information on the Summer Bundle, including real-time statistics and its current price, is available at its official website or via its Facebook and Twitter pages. And a final reminder - the more buyers, the more the price will increase, unless kind buyers drop the price, so grab the bundle now while the price is still low!

In that case they should develop better music taste already. There is bunch of really great titles, even chiptune, but Desura always choose very questionable ones. Well, Sesy synthesizer and George&Jonathan was nice, most other - below average. In example Indie1UP with Slime Girls album hit the target much better.
And, by the way, Indieroyale has no charity, so...all you donation goes right to the profit column

Ok, fine, ONE pack, you right...now lets recall Humble Budnle (constant unlimited charity), Indiegala ( I dont like it, too much Steam, but they have nice music taste and charity too), even Game Music Bundle.
Well, i not saying that IndieRoyale bad, not at all, They actually pretty good compared with all that crazy bundle copycats everywhere, but have ways to improve and they do almost nothing to become better.
Game collection was good step, but very small.

@Toyotame - you can listen to the album in its entirety on its bandcamp page. Calling it an unknown is a bit dramatic. And it's supposed to be a reward to encourage you to page a few dollars more towards a bunch of great games (or conversely, think of it as paying $8 for the album and getting rewarded by a bunch of great games!). Your attitude is frankly disheartening.

Maybe, maybe. But let's talk about tendention, ok? Previously there was games preorder an those who risked - got albums. After, it was possible to just pay little more average and get album. Even after they put fixed 7$ limit to get album and NOW they raise it to 8$. That next, 10$ limit? 15$?
You all peoples telling about rewards and warm and fuzzy things like this but it's still a sale. Sale means sale and ask to pay almost the same price as it would be on bandcamp is strange and abnormal.
Do you really think, that artists get giant sales on bandcamp? They usually sell 10 albums at day if music is not total crap. Indieroyale sells 15000-20000 copies, and even if there is only 1/3 of customers pays 8 and more$, then it would be 5000 album sales too. And EVEN if Desura pays only 1$ per album artists still will get a lot MORE then they do usually make.
So, please, don't make me feel like i hurting kittens by my word.
Albums for preorders was normal. 8$ - no
And in very and of my message i add one more thing - there is such bundle as Indiegala and they usually gives to those who paid above average 3-4 albums of pretty great music with wider range of genres then chiptune-only

Firstly, you sound like a bit of a whinger mate, because they raised the album price by a dollar. Those artists, whether their music is to your personal taste or not, deserve some money or at the very least advertising from their genuiune efforts to create something for consumers like us.
The fact you think it's "strange and abnormal" to have to pay "almost the same price as it would be on bandcamp" is just a rather silly comment, as these bundles are a) pay-what-you-want, with many people paying over the minimum anyway, and b) how is still getting 40% off anything to be laughed at?
And what you say next is somewhat contradicting yourself. You dislike how apparently unknown artists (as you said in a different post, I have noticed) appear in these bundles, yet acknowledge they often don't do particularly well on bandcamp. So how is it that, as you point out, them getting far more money by our generosity to pay the extra for the bundle, at all a bad thing? Those of us who have chosen to pay more have done exactly that; CHOSEN to pay more. Don't like it? Pay the minimum and don't act like a selfish child.
It is also unwise, in my opinion, to compare bundles. They all have a great diversity of things- lesser known indie titles we may love on here, lesser known retail titles on Indiegala, comics and music, the occasional movie on Groupees and IndieGala and high quality, established titles or awesome debuts on Humble.
And finally, I don't mind what you say in various places on the internet, but if you want to be taken seriously like now, don't mention hurting kittens. It's ensical to the topic and why many people like kittens and cats, there's a time and place, saying it here isn't helping your cause.

Ок, pretty good said, but let me tell that - with all of this you totally miss that i telling about - tendency. That is, basically, is bundle at all, putting aside support of developer on other value added stuff - it it SALE. Sale is thing then seller drop price to meet offer with demand, as you know. Dont know about you, but i came here for games for cheap. Sounds pretty rough, but it is as is, and probably most of customers come here for same even if they not agree with me. Seller, Desura in our case is interested to make maximal profits of it , it is normal. They can do it either by rising price or by rising sales. Sales rising seems to working pretty bad, since they stuck at 15-20k of purchases, so they have started do tricks to make you pay more. It is not that only IR doing, HumbleBundle pull tricks too. That how it is, just business. If you rejecting this statement, then, sorry, all remains to discuss is details.

Artists? It is matter of taste - i don't like that music IR recently putting in bundles and of course reject to pay even 60% for price of such album. Do artists need promotion? Maybe, but then yo go in promo the thing you aiming for is not revenue share but actual promoting, gossip and raising sale afterwards. As you know in preorder era those who preordered was gifted with albums and this fact - that purchased paid less was not scared musicians out.
Basically i telling - if you want to sell me so-so album please lower the price. Do i look so criminal by telling something like this? Well. ay least i not going to pirate it...
About comparing bundles, as you probably noticed i only touched difference in musical tastes between IR and IndieGala. And they really different, Indiegala winning in music.
One last thing - don't take kittens seriously

Hey Indie Royale, on the Summer Bundle page you said that Serious Sam 2 only gives a Steam code, but when you redeem the bundle on Desura it also added Serious Sam 2 there. Now I wasted my Steam code for no reason =( Is there any way to gift the code to another steam account even though I already redeemed it on my account? I haven't played it yet.

I got this primarily for the Gundemonium games, but they ended up being a little disappointing, but then I saw that AirMech had been added!
AirMech seems like an amazingly cool game...but then I tried it, and while the controls and the premise still feels great, I HATE the F2P-formula.
I would've payed real money for this game hadn't it had a store whre you can buy units and whatnot. Pay-to-win is ******* stupid.

You realise don't you that all of the units in the game are available with in-game currency, therefore you don't have to pay a cent to get the good units? The cash purchases are for a quicker unlock yes, but I have better than starter units just by playing, which is what I would do anyway as I like the game. Otherwise real money is only used for cosmetic additions.

Indie Royale almost always give Me really nice collection of games. Maybe this time little bit weaker, because in don't like so much Japanese shmups and already have DinoRunSE(DRM free), TheJourneyDown:ChapterOne(DRM free and desura) and AirMech beta. Aditionaly i ovelook the start of this bundle. But probably I will buy this one with nice bonus music and for the rest of games :)

Airmech is Free2Play (formally) multiplayer game. You don't have to buy bundle for it, just go to their site and grab a copy. That IR really gives you is limited ingame item for Airmech, that's all

The start of these sales always frustrates me. I get an email saying the bundle is available, immediately click on it, and find out the sale's been on a while and the price has already shot up by a dollar or more. Sure it's only a buck, but the frustration of missing out turns me off the bundle right off the bat. Is there a reason I'm always last out the gate?
