Guilds of Gods is a sandbox MMO about building your name through wealth and glory. You play as your adventurers, grooming and refining the land to build and progress your party. But you soon realize the world of Eloria isn’t all that it seems to be. Many things you do, from what you harm, your decisions in either/or situations, and who you decide to help will apply curses or blessings to your party. Blessings and curses each have their own ability tree which is unlocked the greater your good/evil score is. Becoming devoted to one side can become very powerful. Guilds of Gods is currently in released alpha, play now on Android and modern browsers at GuildsOfGods.com. However, not all features are complete, and there is depth in graphics, content, gameplay, diplomacy, and PvP to expand. Completed content will be backdropped with a green background, partially completed will be yellow, and not yet started will be white.

The Patch V67 has come out. The primary focus of this patch was to get out a cleaner tutorial for new players, and to push out a bunch of bug fixes while we work on the meat and potatoes for Patch V68.

Tutorial Opening

The opening sequence for the tutorial was completely changed. Rather than players finding themselves thrown into a battle right away, players now act as observers for the opening sequence.

For starters, players start on the boat, rather than the battlefield. They are informed about the battle outsider, as a camera pans over the battle field. The camera leads them through the path they are going to run through, showing the player all the friendly Guild Wizards at the end in their tower. The camera then traverses backwards through the battlefield, back to the player, while telling them to run towards the wizards to seek help.

After that sequence, the players go through character customization and learn the same lore as previously taught. From here on, the tutorial is mostly the same as before. The players step off the boat and run through the battlefield. If they successfully get to the wizards at the end, they must speak to a wizard and then that wizard will teleport them to whichever guild the player wants to join.

In the circumstance that a player gets killed on the battlefield, one of the friendly wizards teleports to the players, heals them and teleports them to the end. Therefore the player is always seeking help from wizards and gets saved by the very same wizards.

In the previous version, the players ran towards a ladder, and if they died they were saved by the wizards and teleported to a Wizard Tower that was far away, rather than on the battlefield itself.

We are hoping this new experience feels more diegetic for the player. They are given a full view of things before tackling the deadly run, they learn who the wizards are before getting saved by them, and they are teleported to the same area that they are running towards, keeping the same flow whether they survive or die during the run.

Random Events Disabled

There were too many bugs with the recently released random events, specifically the Wasp and Ghost events.

These two events have been disabled until further notice.

Visual Bug Fixes

There were a lot of visual bug fixes included in this patch. Equipped items were disappearing visually after logging in or teleporting. The character preview was losing its clothing after unequipping armor. And more minor bugs.
