Hey all, so before we get to the story updates I'd like to say that Quantum Cohort is no more.

In my previous post I mentioned that the development team had disbanded, which is true. The new development team (for now) is myself (Stephen Gibson, don't you know my name already??) and Darren Atherton.

You may have heard his name tossed around here and there. Darren and I have been friends since middle school, a friendship which literally was born out of making board games together. Since then we never stopped writing and developing games and stories.

Together he and I developed the first implementation of High Moon. He hasn't been too involved with the production of High Moon outside of some initial testing, and being the main writer for the Narrratives we have been posting.

His role will still stay relatively the same, writing and helping shape High Moon's story. But I'd like to officially acknowledge him as my partner on this project, and future projects.

With this in mind, the new company name will be "Isaac Black's Studio". There is a very interesting story behind that name, but i'll save that for when we're famous :P

Now for some High Moon stuff!

High Moon is a strategic, turn based duelin' game. But you ain't wieldin' pistols in this fight, no sirree. That’d be too easy. It takes place in your classic, American-western city called plainly, “The Forgotten West.” She's a city crawlin' with the frontier's most wretched outlaws, scoundrels, and you name it - the lost, the demonic, the paranormal.

But let's get specific. The Elementalist, a downright mysterious being, has chosen to sire some apprentices in the Forgotten West and throw ‘em into this game of wits. He opposes his underlings against one another in bouts of magic, each of 'em wieldin’ the very forces of nature in an effort to emerge victorious, or just alive for that matter.

You, are one of his underlings.

Equally matched against your foes, you've got to master the elements with all their particular strengths and weaknesses. Keep your spells close and your will to win even closer!

Elle - Princess of the West

When her dearest husband went missing, Elle followed each and every clue westward. In the cities she sang like a songbird for 'im. 'Cross the flatlands she darted like a hawk, and with a hawk's eyes and a hawk's ears she searched, all the way to the Forgotten West. Every day that passed took a little of her soul 'long with it. That is, ‘til she met that oddest of creatures, the Elementalist. He told her he could offer some help in the searchin', just so long as she was ready to pay for it. Without much thinkin' at all, she thought it a worthy sacrifice.

Foci Set: Adapt (offensive, weak), Regenerate (defensive, strong), Sacrifice (ultimate, weak)

Westwood - The Man With No Name

A drunk, a cheat, a scoundrel so low he makes all other scoundrels think themselfs dignified. When the Elementalist came along and told him how easy it'd be to get his hands on his next shot o' whisky with a little bit of magic in his back pocket, well heck, Westwood struck a crooked grin bigger than the whole God-forsaken desert.

Foci Set: Restore (offensive, strong), Purify (defensive, weak), Abolish (ultimate, weak)

Moondance - Super Suave Blood Sucker

This handsome city-slicker fell head o'er heals for the Forgotten West and all its twisted glory. Havin' to pay little mind to coverin' up spilled blood made it the perfect home. Moondance is one of the last vampires, and he was drawn into the Elementalist’s little game, motivated by a mixture of good ol’ fashion curiosity, and a need of protection. At the very least, he thought to himself, maybe there are more amusin' ways to hunt for dinner.

Foci Set: Drain (offensive, strong), Mend (defensive, weak), Immolate (ultimate, weak)

Gilgamesh - The Southerner

A failed Thaumaturge, the Southerner went on a'wanderin' in disgrace until a story landed in his ear. In the Forgotten West, as it went, an enigma called the Elementalist was grantin' power to a select few souls. With redemption in mind, he sought out the mysterious bein’ and soon found himself wieldin' the forces of nature as few Thaumaturges could.

Foci Set: Destroy (offensive, weak), Convert (defensive, weak), Annex (ultimate, strong)

Mojito - Solo Mariachi Man

When the storm forever known as the Red Phantom whelm'd o'er a travellin' Mariachi band, they clasped hands tryin' to stay together 'til it passed. Sadly, the winds ripped one of 'em from his friends and when the sands settled, and he opened his eyes, he was a solo Mariachi. Findin' the Forgotten West, Mojito's sorrowful tunes amused the Elementalist, who sired the lonely bard. Now Mojito is forced to play his lovely riffs as he throws the wind, rain and then some in battle. But all he desires is to be reunited with his amigos so they can continue their cross-country tour!

Foci Set: Bypass (offensive, weak), Bind (defensive, strong), Mimic (ultimate, weak)

Barceline - Super Sexy Vamp Vamp Eater

User Posted Image

Word has it there are few remainin' bloodsuckers on the earth. Fewer still are the ones who suck the blood o' their own kind. Lord knows why, but Barceline's one of 'em. They say a single feedin' and she can live a hundred years. So when she heard Moondance took up his huntin' in the Forgotten West, she started another hunt of her own. But the Elementalist wouldn't let her have ol' Moondance unless she could prove herself in the duels. When, in all her immortal arrogance, she tried to do away with the Elementalist, well, she ended up acceptin' the deal right quick.

Foci Set: Intensify (offensive, weak), Induce (defensive, weak), Siphon (ultimate, strong)
