A top-down sandbox adventure game in development with procedurally generated worlds and online multiplayer for up to four players. The game will support features such as dungeon exploration, gathering materials, crafting, building shelters/houses, a story and so on.
Project Terrae version 0.0.1. Hardly any content, unbalanced, buggy, but at least avaliable.
This is the first version of Project Terrae ever released. There is little to do in the game, but still I wanted to let you check how the development is going so far.
I also prepared a little gameplay video:
What you can do in this version:
- start with gathering some wood, create a workbench and a pickaxe
- build a house
- enter a cave and gather some metals
- defeat skeletons to gather some crafting recipies
- craft better tools and armor
How to play:
Unzip the file and run ProjectTerrae.exe (If you would like a version for either Linux of Mac just let me know)
Your progress is being saved automatically when you close the game (this is also the reason it takes a moment to close it)
Save data is located in User\AppData\LocalLow\Grevicor\ProjectTerrae
Generating the world and especially loading it is currently quite badly optimized, so the game may seem to freeze (maybe even for a few minutes on weaker hardware).
The game supports Mouse & keyboard and also ps4 and Xbox One controllers (PS5 and XSX controllers are likely to work too). Switch pro controller support is planned but right now it crashes the game :(
