** Abandoned Project ** Farms, Science, Research, Mining, all put together in a tycoon-style game! What else do you want?
Development on Greenbelt stopped about six months ago. I personally have just started to learn some Visual Basic, and I'm going to try to remake Greenbelt in VB. Mapboy is currently working on some other, somewhat more secret projects in the Unity engine, so I'll mostly be working on this on my own. I'll see how far this gets. The problem with Visual Basic is that it uses .Net framework and will not run on Mac. I'm uncertain as to whether it'll run on Linux or not, but mac-users won't be able to play Greenbelt if I remake it in Visual Basic. I'll release the Visual Basic version it if it gets to a point where it is about as far along as the current Java version is.
First alpha release came out a few hours ago, and already at least one bug has been found!

First version is done. I'm unfamiliar with the site, so as soon as I can figure out where to upload it it'll be up.

One more hour of working time and I should have the first bin-worthy version of Visual Basic Greenbelt done! Completely unoptimized because when I tried to optimize what I had my brain imploded. I'll work on that another time and for now just focus on getting that first version out. Basic functions are done. I'll be able to finish it up either tonight or over the weekend. W00t?
So maybe 65 different threads isn't the most optimized way to do this. MAYBE a single ticker would be best. Maybe a timer function, you know, so it doesn't freeze up the program the way an infinite loop does.

Development stopped on this a while ago, but I've started remaking it in Visual Basic 2013.
After looking at different postings, we compiled a list of bugs and fixed most, if not all of them! Let us know if you still have a bug that needs to be fixed.
Dev Version Released, post bugs!
Can't run it. :P
Maybe you should run the compiled version on your computer before you post it for download, instead of running it through the program you use for the code?
Edit: Aha! Problem: Software made by NCH Software has some... issues... With some filetypes...
Updated delayed - adding in a fast forward, finally.
