Do you like match 3 puzzle games, but often times feel frustrated by the lack of control? You spend time in your typical match 3 game scanning the grid, looking for one of a few limited moves you could make, not knowing what shapes will be dropped on you next. In Gravity Chain, you not only see the next shape coming, but you can place it precisely where you want by selecting the gravity direction and destroying the shape of your choosing. This means with every action you take, you have anywhere between 176-200 possible actions depending on the obstacles that are randomly generated with each level. Unlike other games, you can make multiple moves at the same time. Chain together matches to earn more points, which adds time bonuses. Clear the level of shapes before time runs out!

Description

In talking with people, I realized not everybody understood the concept of Gravity Chain because they have the traditional game mechanics of the typical match 3 puzzle game so engrained into their heads. Hopefully this video will help clear things up. In it, you will see that you do not swap shapes, but instead click on them to destroy them. A new shape will always enter the grid, so in order to clear the level you need to create matches. You can also simply add a shape to the grid by clicking an empty space. The strategy comes in how you place your shapes, which you have absolute control over. The video shows how gravity works, in addition to making multiple moves at a time (another mechanic that breaks from the classic match 3 mold which people don't expect). You can even blow up shapes as they are still moving! Unfortunately I didn't show off the select shape bonus, but it works exactly as it sounds. Earn bonuses by breaking glass tiles of the corresponding color or creating match 4's or greater, and press the button to strategically select your next shape.
