Bestiary Information - Topielica (Drowned Maids)
Topielica are sinister demons from Slavic Folklore that inhabit lakes, ponds and swampland. They are the souls of young maiden who either out of despair and agony drowned themselves in the murky waters or were murdered by others and left to slumber in a watery grave. They are purely driven by the desire to inflict the agony that they experienced on other unfortunate souls, driven by the desire to avenge their premature deaths. They lead many unsuspecting adventurers to their death by singing hauntingly beautiful songs or crying out for help and leading them to treacherous quags. Beware the adventurer who travels alone in swamps!
