Ghost SEED is a free to play Massively Multiplayer location-based game for Android, currently in beta, that takes place in the present day and is played out across the globe. Players assume the role of new operatives working for one of three organizations competing for influence through the use of applied quantum physics. Resource collection, combat and territorial conquest all take place on a map in the game client. Ghost SEED is currently in late public beta and available on the Android app store, with an iOS release scheduled for late 2012.

Post news Report RSS The Road to PAX, part 2 - win a pair of 3-day passes!

We're gradually creeping up on our August 25th launch date, and getting ready for PAX Prime. Once again, since it's been a while since my last update, this will cover a decent amount of stuff. First of all, let's get the important stuff out of the way. Win passes to PAX!

We're gradually creeping up on our August 25th launch date, and getting ready for PAX Prime. Once again, since it's been a while since my last update, this will cover a decent amount of stuff.

First of all, let's get the important stuff out of the way. Win passes to PAX!

We’re very excited to be presenting Ghost SEED at PAX Prime for the first time this year, and we’re looking forward to meeting people and introducing them to the deeply weird world of our game! As you probably know, tickets sold out in something like seven tenths of a picosecond, but we managed to get ahold of an extra pair of 3-day passes which we’re going to offer to one of our lucky beta testers! How do you win? Easy! Play in our PAX campaign, running from August 9th through the 16th*, and send us an email from the address you used to sign up for your account**. We’ll select a lucky winner at random.

Entry instructions and rules are available here. Good hunting, and good luck!

In other news, we have a new trailer, produced by the very talented Keith Hitchcock. Check it out and let us know what you think!

We've been testing out chat in the game for a few weeks, and it looks like it's pretty stable, so we've rolled that out for general use. You can chat with individual players, with offline message forwarding (so that your messages will get to other players even if they're not online). We also have multi-user channels for each team, plus a global one for cross-team chat.

We're also wrapping up the last test of the campaign system. Campaigns are weeklong contests that pit the various organizations against one another. For example, the current "test" campaign challenges each organization to place more FORTs than the others. Starting Thursday the 9th, our first real campaign will challenge the organizations to engage in the most battles. This looks like it'll be a fun campaign that will encourage players to travel around looking for victi^H^H^H^H^H cherished opponents to engage.

I just want to close by mentioning again that we're going to be exhibiting at PAX this year. We're going to be up on the 6th floor, along with indie producers Zombie Orpheus Entertainment who make the excellent web show "Journey Quest" and Studio Pepwuper who make "My Giants". If you're attending, be sure and come upstairs and say hello!
