Galaxodus is a game about survival in the face of overwhelming opposition. Set far in the future, humanity has spread throughout the stars and carved out a peaceful existence. But all is never well for long…

An enemy appears that tests the very essence of human prosperity: teamwork. Few will survive. Will you be one of them?

Galoxodus is a realtime sci-fi roguelike game that has an emphasis on forward planning, teamwork and snap decisions.
It can be played alone or with friends, but beware; every decision you make will shape your future.

Development of Galaxodus started back in March of 2014, with a concept demo evening being held at Teesside University in July of the same year. There's a video of the event in our media page.

Since this event we've moved from the concept stage with the feedback we had and have started working towards getting a more complete, playable version ready. We're planning on releasing the early builds of the game through some kind of early access (most likely through Steam), with our focus being stable, incremental releases.

We're always open to suggestions from the community, after all, you're playing it! Please get in contact with your comments, suggestions and criticisms.

Core gameplay will include:

  • Twin-stick, top-down arcade-feeling shooter
  • Procedurally-generated universe to explore
  • Trying to escape from an unstoppable force
  • Co-op gameplay; play alone or with up to 3 friends
  • Unique fantasy/sci-fi crossover equipment system: Harness the power of the 10 elements to modify your weapons, shields, armour and engines
  • Persistent intra-species diplomacy system: Deal with whatever stands in your way however you chose, but your actions will have consequences

The art style is still currently up in the air, so expect any of the visual assets to change before the final release. We're currently leaning towards a simple art style, but the visual style is something that we're currently looking for feedback on, so get in touch!

We're going to be keeping this page up to date as we release more information but if you'd like to see it first hand then please visit the website: www.galaxodus.uk
