Introduction
Galaxica is an procedurally generated action (roguelike?) game set in space. This is a game that I started working since last December. I wanted to polish a working prototype to show the community (this means you) and to get feedback on what you like, hate, etc. I've failed plenty of times at my personal game releases in the past I really want to gauge the communities interests and reaction before investing further time into it.
The game in a nutshell

Hey awesome. You are on to something here. Reminds me of Starflight for the sega. I played the crap outa that game.
Thanks for your comment! I loved starflight too! However, I don't want to nor could I recreate that masterpiece. I want to borrow as much as I can though.
Looks really nice, but why didn't you use all axis in space? Would be better no?
Good question. It definitely would be more immersive and add a lot to the experience but it also adds more complexity.
More axes means more cost in terms of development, testing and fixing bugs. Since I am doing it all myself right now, not having to develop a full 3D game would allow me to concentrate on the actual game mechanics which is something not completely fleshed out yet.
If this game is moderately successful, I would love to all axes. =D
