they're now fully animated as if to simulate dust through the light. it looks pretty sweet and non-uniform considering it's a texture map, not fractal.

Lightshafts. or lightcones. I first created a mesh in 3dsmax11(Trial, i'm not rich lol) then did a custom shader. the shader is basically a view based fresnal fed into the alpha channel. done in strumpy's of course.

doesn't look ideal from all angles but that is entirely down to my dodgy mesh :)
