Frontier Town is a top-down RPG in which players can take on a multitude of roles within society. Set in the medieval era, players can do jobs such as farming to grow food for the populous, smithing to create new tools to equip the townsfolk, and building residences and workshops in order to encourage specialists to move in, or to sell to other players.

May i ask:
Do you pixel everyting by yourself or are you getting them from somewhere else? :)
Somehow the character and the tiles do look familiar so i was a bit confused about them ^^;

They're from The Liberated Pixel Cup :D

We're actually looking for an artist if you're interested, they'd have to be able to match the sort of style we already have though.
We need all sorts, from different player clothes/armour, to weapons/tools, to objects like a furnace for smelting bars, and some more furniture to decorate houses.

Sure :) Well what do you think of the icons on the character armour part? You could redo them if you like, I'm really not fond of the gauntlet one. They are 32x32

Or you could design a new border for the inventory panel? I'm not sure but I think it could probably be made better by a real artist haha

Or if you want to try an object, a smelter would be nice, for turning ore into metal bars.
Maybe similar to the Skyrim one? Images3.wikia.nocookie.net
Or an open top fire like in Anno, though an open top would have to have at least a few frames of fire animation Images3.wikia.nocookie.net

And here is my Paint.NET file for the inventory design, a png format one you can get from the images tab.

And the Paint.NET file for all the current icons

See what you think :)

Description

Dirt tiles with grass edging which will be used for paths, as in the Flash mockup

Also updated the grass so it draws a lot of plain, some detail and then some clumps on top.
