Why was friend 2 canceled?
This is a complex question. I could use the 'making games is hard' excuse but truthfully I was too ambitious in my ideas. As I tried to strip back on those ideas the game lost the message I wanted to deliver. Rather than release an incomplete game I figured it was best work on other projects instead. However now I have about a 1/3 of a game that will never be finished.
What will the new version be like?
Same game but with more content, puzzles and lore to be had. One thing that Friend 2 had was more information of the world around you. I will take as many of the amazing things I loved from the second game and import it directly into the game. Don't worry because the orignal story and gameplay will still remain. Think of this as the master quest of the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time except you will get more of everything. Even players who enjoyed the first version will find plenty of new things to discover in this game.
In many ways, this will be the true Friend 2 game you've been waiting for.
Sounds great but when will you release it?
Very soon! Not a year later or some vague date. My goal is to finish as much of this game I can before school starts. No matter what, you will see this version before October! Promise!
