You are on your way home from a case with your forensic robot sidekick, BURT, when you realize that neither of you have money to pay the cab fare. A lovestruck BURT spent the money on his new beloved antique four-slice toaster and the cab driver agrees to accept it as payment, leaving you with a sad, disgruntled little sidekick. To spite you, he eats the key to your apartment where you live together just as it begins to rain.
