Fate of the Galaxy (FotG) is a single and multi-player total conversion using the FS2 Open Engine set in the Star Wars universe. The game is in development and will be released as a standalone (the game FreeSpace 2 is not required). Fate of the Galaxy also maintains an active website, forum and Discord Channel.

Description
First public test of how much the game can handle, still at a solid 60 FPS with max settings (1060 with 16 GB RAM). Game can handle a solid 30 FPS on Intel Integrated Graphics and no AA, too. Next will be adding fighters!

Hot damn. The engine lighting leaves a bit to be desired but the assets you have and the sheer smoothness of the combat is fantastic.
Thanks! We want to do our best to give folks the opportunity to have large, smooth Star Wars space battles. The lighting can be tweaked a bit by the user, too.
I was referring to the shadows- they're looking a bit washed out. Keep up the fantastic work though.
Ah that's because I just realized I didn't have shadows enabled on this play through, whoops!
will the actual game have real star wars music in it? I feel like the music used in this clip sounds like getting molested. fantastic work though, looking forward to future updates!
The music playing there was part of our completely custom soundtrack that is releasing with the game. We purposefully are not using ripped tracks since that is a direct violation of copy right law and an excellent way to get a C&D letter. If folks prefer to mod in their own music (which is very easy) or turn off the game music and play something else is up to them :)
