Farland Online is a managed peer-to-peer MMORPG based on classic MMO mechanics. Drawing on the great gameplay of old-school MMOs, with the PvE of Everquest and the PvP of Ultima Online, Farland Online picks up where these titles left off a decade ago. Farland Online is about community and allowing players the freedom to build their own experiences. Gameplay is open and sandbox-styled, set in a deep, story-driven world over 15 years in the making. The game starts you in the center of conflict in the heart of Farland, where every choice you make affects how the world around you will react. Farland Online is vast, open, and seamless, offering a true sandbox experience in which players can have a real influence on how the world evolves.

The core conflict in Farland is between the Occupied and Liberated factions. Players can take sides in this conflict, remain neutral, or even be exiled. Players can even refrain from combat entirely and go into business as a merchant. The choice is yours, and everyone has the freedom to play any role they wish.

Farland's progression system is built around a dynamic roleplaying experience. If you want to be a fighter, go out and fight. But if you want to be a merchant, you don't have to go fight monsters to "level up" first; you would improve your merchant skills by engaging in commerce in major trade cities, trying to corner the market and make your fortune.

Farland is, at its heart, a game based around player interaction, and thus player conflict is a major element. PvP is not for the fainthearted, though, as the freedom of choice in Farland also carries the weight of consequences. Farland Online is an open PvP world with penalties and full item looting upon death. The factions are constantly striving with each other in many ways, from open conflict to economic domination to political machination. There is room for players of every calling to participate in their factions' success (or failure!).

At the moment it is autoattack w/ target, however it may be subject to change, depending on how our other prototyped systems pan out.

question: is this game a typical mmo where you right click the enemy and you auto attack or is it a hack and slash
