Exiled is a role playing game
Exiled
A true roguelike
Roguelikes are a big influence for making Exiled and our main goal is to make the familiar and loved dungeon crawling experience multiplayer. We are proud to say we're making a roguelike game, not just taking elements here and there but redesigning what it means to be a roguelike and building a game in the tradition of the best roguelikes out there like Nethack, Dungeon Crawl and ADOM. Yes, that means permadeath.
Multiplayer challenges
Turn based combat in multiplayer? Plenty of people are skeptical about a turn-based game in multiplayer, and we thought long and hard to make it work through a combination of shorter sessions, queued actions and simultaneous turns. After all, what could be greater than crawling a dungeon with your friends where every turn counts, every action can mean the life and death of you or your friends.
Not ASCII
We're sorry to disappoint terminal people, but Exiled will be pretty. With an animated tileset and plenty of effects, you won't have to remember the difference between d and D.
Fresh new world
The world of Exiled is only 6 months in the making, and yet it's ancient as the time itself. We have built a world revolving around four rases - Humans, Risen, Beastkin and a fourth mystery race. A world with rich history, with a dash of magic and plenty of steel. If you are tired of standard character classes and abilities, we have plenty of fresh new classes each with it's own lore and abilities.
Small skirmishes, not wars
Exiled is not going to be an MMO, or massive in any sense of the word. Light as a feather, only the bare necessities of getting you in a dungeon with your friends (or enemies) will be built. This will cut down production time, and make the process fun and exciting for you and our small team.
