Executive Star is a local multiplayer turn based strategy, with it’s roots in board games design.

Compete with your friends to build rival mining colonies on a far future planet. Collect resources, build mines, expand territorial claims.

The real fun though comes when trading with other players; negotiating a good deal while trying to avoid giving your friends too big an advantage

Executive Star is available on OUYA for free, with a major expansion planned for later this summer

Announcing Executive Star

News

Executive Star takes the clean, simple design principles of a board game, but with a unique twist: The game board is not flat and two dimensional, but instead tiled over the entire sphere of the planet, making movement in any direction possible!

Over the next couple of months leading up to release, I’ll be keeping a blog of the game’s progress. For the more technically minded, you can also read the story of how it’s going so far here.

The game will be an OUYA exclusive to take advantage of local multiplayer, that was not previously possible on smartphone and tablet (i.e. playing together with friends in the lounge) and is set to launch with the OUYA in March

Game looks great, I'll be watching this. I'd definitely recommend moving to Unity3D, I found it very easy to pick up and being able to build for multiple platforms including Ouya is awesome.

Yeah, definitely going to do my next project in Unity3D, though depends what sort of reception Exec Star gets as to whether I try and port it into Unity3D so I can then put it on other platforms. The game is written in android/java so would have to almost completely re-write it

Hi, sorry for the epicly late reply >.<

Not got any plans to make it for PC at the moment. Largely because I'd have to reprogram it from scratch, but also because the idea is to play with all your mates sat on the sofa round the TV. Not too many people have their PC plugged into their TV, or in a place where 4 friends can easily gather round.

If things go well, I might rewrite the whole game into Unity3D and see about getting it on other platforms, but that won't be until next year at the earliest. Likewise with any AI or online multiplayer modes
