Excalibur breaks the mould of traditional space simulation games by putting the player firmly in the boots of an experienced Starfleet captain. From the outset you will be able to control your character and command your ship as if you were standing on the bridge yourself. From taking direct control of the helm, to transferring command of any ship in your task force, or even calling your senior staff to the briefing room to discuss mission tactics; Excalibur is the most immersive Star Trek experience ever. Set six months after the events in Star Trek: Nemesis, Excalibur's story mode deals with the turbulent political scene caused by a decade of war and turmoil. From the second Borg incursion in First Contact, to the fall of the Dominion and the collapse of the Romulan political system; these events resulted in huge loss of life and changed the Alpha Quadrant forever.

Report RSS New Orleans Class

A few new shots of the New Orleans class, recently updated by Luiz to TS2. The New Orleans is one of the less well known ships of Star Trek and it often gets missed out from games. Including ships like this is important as it helps to create a more authentic experience whilst also giving the player a very different type of ship to play with.

This week we have a few new shots of the New Orleans class, recently updated by Luiz Cordova Jr to Texture Spec 2. The New Orleans is one of the less well known ships of Star Trek and it often gets missed out from Star Trek games. Including ships like this is important to the project as it helps to create a more authentic experience whilst also giving the player a very different type of ship to play with.

The New Orleans class is a nimble space craft with plenty of forward facing weapons, it was eventually replaced by the Akira class after the events of Wolf 359.

Nice work, and an interesting ship with the look of the Galaxy class but smaller, and swept back pylons in the style of the Enterprise refit, nice. Are those flat cigar shaped modules photon torpedo launchers or something?

@TALON_UK They are indeed photon launchers! The ship is relatively underpowered in other respects but when you point those launchers at your target there are sure to be fireworks! :D

does it smell like urine and is in a constant state of decay? otherwise I say it should be named after another city. :P
