Escape from the Pyramid is a 2D, puzzle-runner-platformer set in ancient Egypt. We wanted to create a visually unique game, giving it the feeling you are controlling the characters in an ancient but moving papyrus. Lots of effort is going into creating intricate and complex levels with extreme attention to detail. Escape is also a very challenging experience that will test your reflexes (and your patience!) as your try to find your way through labyrinthic and deadly maps. Beyond the initial learning levels you will face true challenges and cleverly designed levels that will seriously test you. We have deadly spikes, poisonous snakes, spiders and scorpions, gems and golden beetles, hidden canopic jars to summon the help of the gods, and many other things. We are hoping to show you a promo video soon!

We are still deep in development with Escape from the Pyramid, after a much longer development period we had anticipated, but we are getting there and I thought we would put it out there already, to get some impressions.
Here are some initial screenshots.
The GUI is not final yet, we are for example thinking about changing the "change direction" button from the central bottom part to the lower right corner, but for the most part this will be the final one.
We will have a promo video ready soon too, and some more concepts coming up - with some of the bosses.
