I would like to point out that the model isn't as 'fat' looking as the picture may make it seem, it's rather skinny actually.
Looks good, but it seems a bit impractical when I picture a character holding it. On the gripping parts. With the gun going all round the "trigger" hand, kind of a sharp edge there also, instead of being an open "u" shape or something.

It looks to me like you'd skin your knuckles on the vents under the top carry handle. If you move the side controls down to where the operator can toggle them with a thumb you'd have plenty of room on the sides for the nifty vents.
I agree with aengelius about the sharp edges behind the pistol grip. Perhaps it could be looped back to the end of the shoulder stock to prevent it interfering with the operators wrist & forearm.

Thanks for the crit guys, I'll try to fix up some of the sharp edges... As for skinning your knuckles... might be hard to do when you have gloves on (being the characters are gonna have heavy armor on0), but I get where you're coming from with that.
