That's good, it's not as nice maybe as medieval buildings which are more usual in this genre but I think it has a charm as well. Especially, as the game progresses you will have more options to make the town nicer.

Well if it's post-apocalypse and the apocalypse happened during our current age then it makes sense that there won't be medieval themed buildings or something close. Most people in this situations try to build normal houses and just make a wall or a fence.
It will be very cool to see a fully grown camp turned almost into a city :) (don't know if there will be a capacity to citizens, depending on rations and buildings maybe?)

Sure the inspiration mainly comes from slums.

How big the population gets depends on how you treat your people. The game is all about managing resources and happiness.

Factors are house size and quality, amount of food and variation, water consumption for drinking and cleaning, pollution and some more.

The goal is that you can try different kind of cities which also depends on which scenario you play.

ok, that sounds pretty cool, a good management system.

Well i'm thinking on making my people only eating a piece of fruit a day and make them fight to the death to my own amusement. But then i would have no followers so i'll have to play nice from time to time, goddamnit...
