Post news Report RSS This Week on Elegos - Choices and Chalices

A quickfire roundup of what’s been happening on the project this week.

Posted by on

Narrative 📚

It’s been an exciting few weeks for the narrative of Elegos. Flo has been working hard alongside Annie to produce and finalise Acts I & II so that we could get to work on some internal testing.

Creating a ‘choose your own adventure’ style script to test the team's decisions at every key story point has given us great insight allowing us to further tweak and play with the story as we head into finalising Act III.

Many have had it reinforced that in Elegos you must live (or die 👀) by your decisions.

Tech Art 🖥️

Work continues on building out the terrain of Phacos using the modular rock pieces featured in last week’s article, meanwhile, Chu has been sharing images of his first fully textured asset, check it out!

Chalice
Chu has produced his first asset since joining the team and it’s a beauty! This Chalice and others like it will be found aplenty in the Villa’s and Palace’s of Elegos.

Unweathered Bronze alongside a weathered version.

Art 🎨

The Art team have been hard at work on some beautiful Art that will be used for everything from Marketing to in-game loading screens. All work below is work in progress and not final. Plenty more updates to come!

Systems and Mechanics 🖥️

A lot of focus on NPC behaviours with the next few weeks in mind, so far this consists of introducing new NPC behaviours on the Pier such as:

  • Fishing
  • Sitting on the dock (of the bayyy 🎵)
  • Roaming
  • Stopping to chat

That’s all for this week’s roundup, we will have more news for you next week but until then we will leave you with the joyous image of Filip and Phil showing up to standup wearing matching shirts!
