The coming days and weeks are going to be crammed full of news, and we are excited to share the first few items of that today. Firstly, we have just released a brand new, much more polished launcher. We hope this will be the final time we have to update it, but either way we are very happy with how the new version has turned out. Everyone will be able to update automatically via patch, so no need to worry about re-downloading the game. To note, some users may need to download the latest version of C++ redistributable.
To make that easier, we have included a download link in our forum thread for the new launcher, found here:Playedgeofspace.com
We would also like to let everyone know that time is quickly running out now for the pre-order prices and offers. Be sure to get in and get the game now to still be entitled to a Steam key when we launch on Early Access!
Once we are selling on Steam, copies purchased on Desura or RainDG will no longer come with a Steam key.Since launch on EA is looming closer, we will be releasing details soon for how to obtain and redeem Steam keys for all of our pre-order and Kickstarter customers. We know everyone is plenty anxious to start playing through Steam, and we are so excited to be getting so close! It still feels so surreal to the team, watching all of the work we've done over the last year come to this point.Keep an eye on the forums and community, there is plenty more news on the horizon! Stay awesome, ArkCo Operatives, and we'll see you next time for ArkCo News!
Keeping you up to date as what's going on in EoS! Lots of construction!
We made greenlight what an incredible start to the month!

Does this game run in Vista?
I Lost my gamekey where can i get it back?
Are Desura owners getting Steam keys at some point? Been a while since I checked this out.
Where exactly do we recieve the steam keys? I have owned this on desura for months and months but I don't believe I have recieved the steam key yet. Thanks in advance!
They already received them :)
You can use the key that you where given with the game to activate it on steam just the same as the old arkdrop system, if you dont have the key anymore you can login arkdrop and get the key from your games list in there.
Game looks interesting. Oh its locked to Steam. Ill spend my money elsewhere. Sorry devs.
So now I'm hearing that this game will now be a Steam exclusive, even though you guys promised a DRM-Free version of the game. If the game was available to people through Steam and any other channel you put your game on (DRM-Free), you're backers (who I would assume some of them also pledged for a DRM-Free copy of the game) probably wouldn't have that much of a problem with it. However, going back on your word and making it a Steam exclusive in the end is a pretty big slap in the face to those who supported you. This really isn't acceptable.
You've pretty much killed my interest in this game as a whole. Unless this is temporary I really can't see myself purchasing this game anytime soon (if ever). If you're not going to do something you've promised on your kickstarter:
Pledge $10 or more
DRM-free copy of the game for Windows and Mac
Then don't even bother making that promise to begin with.
DRM-Free copies of the game WILL be coming to pledges, but only pledges. We never promised the game would sell as a DRM-free version outside of the kickstarter pledges.
"DRM-Free copies of the game WILL be coming to pledges, but only pledges."
My mistake. Sorry about the outburst regarding the Kickstarter pledges.
Even then I'm not really sure it's the best idea to drop support of the Desura version just for the Steam version. Seems a bit too much to be quite honest. If you offer a non steam version of the game I'll be happy to purchase it, until then I'm still not really willing to support another Steam exclusive.
I'm sorry its a deal breaker for you, but as discussed on here already, its not just about the DRM, we NEED steam, steam has many of the things we where using third party software for (such as the patcher and user unique IDs, this is just an example there is far more). We are a small team and while some people dislike it, we had to adopt a 'you cant please everyone all the time' mentality just because of the amount of man power required to run both in steam and out of steam.
