Edge Of Horizon was built in slightly over 2 months with Unity Engine.
It was meant to be just a programming job application but it turned into something more.
The game is meant to resemble chess in a unique environment with turn based action gameplay.
What makes it unique is its gameplay environment.
The game area is a rubik like cube made of destructible nodes. Players can select different rows of the cube and rotate them to their liking, in orderto gain strategic advantage over the enemy.
Game consists of 2 players. Each player has their own base and base shield generators.
Goal of the game is to destroy every enemy unit and shield generator. Once destroyed a very small black hole is spawned (as seen in the "Edge Of Horizon Short Trailer") and then the black hole explodes and destroys everything around.
Basic units - they can move, attack and be upgraded
Special units - they can either attack an enemy unit by flying into them, or can self destruct when an enemy unit is near (when it's enemies turn) and damage the enemy unit
Hack units - paralyze: attacks the enemy unit and makes it unable to move for a few turns shield: does damage to the attacked enemy unit for a few turns attack: reduces enemy units attack for a few turns
Node explode unit - the only unit which can destroy the cubes nodes. Units can not move across that node anymore.
Base shield generators - has a minigun at the start which can be upgraded to a turret (deals more damage) - attacks when an enemy unit walks into shield generators attack range
Game can be played against the computer, 1 vs 1 (offline multiplayer), 1 vs 1 (online multiplayer).
The game will be released in January 2018 for PC and MAC. PC version is complete.
