In a few words, Drifting Lands is like the illegitimate offspring of Diablo and R-Type. The whole structure of the game will be similar to the experience of a modern hack & slash with a campaign featuring scripted content and randomly generated parts of increasing difficulty. But where you'd expect your 'click-to-bash' gameplay, you'll find a new type of horizontal shmup relying heavily on a customizable build of skills and randomly generated loot. 3 different classes of ships will allow players with different skill levels and focus of interest to enjoy the game. Whether you're a shmup superplayer, an adept of theory crafting with poor reflexes or someone somewhere in between, we think you'll find a class to enjoy the game. Drifting Lands alpha version is already playable on Steam as a free demo!

This 'free early access' is still very much in progress and for now most of its content is oriented toward competitive scoring with online leaderboards. The final game will not be a competitive online game but a single player experience with ship customization, random loot and level generation. We created this alternate and limited mode to get early feedback from players. The RPG / evolution system at least its very first and limited iteration should be available by the end of the month.

You can leave feedback here, on the Steam community hub of the game, or on our facebook page.
