Dragon Creek is a dragon raising simulator where every dragon is procedurally generated. Enter in a word or seed at the shrine, and see what dragon it makes!

History

When I was growing up, my favorite genre of video game was monster training. Digimon, Pokemon, Dragonseeds, and Monster Rancher had a huge influence on me as I grew up. This time also happened to coincide with a burst of dragon based novels and books, such as Dragonology and How to Train Your Dragon. I had always dreamed of having my own dragon, and would often play pretend with my siblings, each of us with our own dragon in our own imaginary world.

Dragon Creek aims to make that dream a reality. To own your own dragon. To care for it in every way, as if it were real.

I started development in November of 2019. I worked on Dragon Creek in my spare time, so initially development was slow. In 2020, when the coronavirus hit, I was laid off. Luckily I had enough saved up to survive for another year, so I decided to take the leap and work on Dragon Creek full time.
