Digitanks made it to the Top 100 in the IndieDB Indie Of The Year contest! We couldn't do it without you, so in return I've decided to leave it up to you to decide what the next feature I'm going to develop is.

Digitanks made it to the Top 100 in the IndieDB Indie Of The Year contest! We couldn't do it without you, so in return I've decided to leave it up to you to decide what the next feature I'm going to develop is. I've been working on a lot of new weapon types and we have three pretty neat ideas that we want to try out. I'd like you guys to help decide what it's going to be. Here are the options:

1. Airstrike - A special ability would allow tanks to call down an airstrike anywhere on the map.
2. Camera-Guided Missiles - A special type of missile with a camera on the nose that can be controlled with the mouse after it's fired and steered directly into a target.
3. Ramming Charge Attack - A special ability for tanks that lets them charge and ram other nearby tanks.

If you have another idea, I'd love to hear it. You can vote for a feature by just leaving a comment below, and I'll tabulate them all up later. If we make it to the next stage of the Indie Of The Year contest, maybe I'll do something else special like this again, so be sure to vote for us again.

I leave you with a recent screenshot of a bug that caused a bomb to carve out a section of the mountain. I like how it looks so I might make it into a special kind of weapon at some point. Click it to view the full image.

Good stuff.. Personally, I'd like to see an Airstrike more than anything else - the other two don't fit as well imo. But I guess arguments could be made for the others. I prefer the tactical element to the game over guiding your own missiles or tank charges, but that's just me.

Tank Charge please.

A tank charge could force your opponent into a tighter group which makes them easier to shoot.
Think how awesome it would be to push an opposing tank into a barrage of shots from another force of yours!

I'm kind of conflicted, i like the airstrike idea, and it serves the most tactial purpose, but i like the guided missle, just because i love strategy games that let me directly control certain things.

Anyway ramble over, i would go for the guided missle, but at the same time would like to the airstrike.

Airstrike sounds like a useful addition, I'm a bit worried that it might be too overpowered and the first one to use the airstrike automatically wins the game.

I think the camera-guided missile sounds a lot more balanced, since you also need a certain amount of skill to control it.

A tank charge sounds like a kamikaze ability; if you're sane you won't go near your enemies and rather keep shooting at them from afar. ^^

So yeah, my vote is for the camera-guided missile!
