Devana (an open source browser strategy game) is the kind of game where you build structures, research technologies, craft components, trade resources, train units and fight other players in an online environment. What makes this project unique is that it is an engine for these types of games. One can easy modify a config file and create a new game altogether, without actually writing code. The game automatically runs based on what it finds in that one config file.

Description

Hello there!
My name is Andrei Busuioc and I'm the developer of Devana, an open source browser strategy game.

The kind of game where you build structures, research technologies, craft components,
trade resources, train units and fight other players in an online environment.

What makes Devana unique is it's flexibility, the ease with which it can be modified to
become a new game altogether. It's being developed that way from the beggining;
to be a platform for browser strategy games.
All of its' features can be linked together or turned off to make games
that focus entirely on combat, or on city building with complex production chains and research trees.
Each module can be customized to behave differently.
You control how many buildings a player can build; how many building slots there are
and what are the costs and requirements.
With Devana you are the developer without being one.
The code will be there for you to use and it will react to your choices. It will automatically know what
units a player can train, and from what buildings they'll pop out.

The game will also feature addon support and addons with end game scenarios,
the ability to generate statistics and award achievements.
And most important of all, the game will be free.
