not really sure what you mean. There weren't any 'classes' in L4D it was just cosmetic :)
What I meant is, is the Seeker always named Carlos Santiago? Does the other classes have their own names, too? Or is Carlos Santiago just a flavor character on the boat before you dive in?
Each character has a name and a class, but the are not interchangeable.
Carlos Santiago is also know as the Hunter, the Seeker is called Rosa and so on. You can refer to them by either their name or their class.
They idea is for everyone to have their own identity instead of being your typical faceless grunt.

cool that it starts topside. Detail is good, I guess in most maps you would just start out in the open sea, maybe see a shoreline.
