Deep Blue is an indie project currently in development. It is an ambient, challenging and diverse experience in which players relax, cast their rod and wait for a fish to bite. It's story driven game-play allows you to follow along and unlock more areas and fish, or take it easy and cast off in this challenging yet relaxing indie fishing game.

So, I haven't even looked at this project in over a month. I've started into college which means I have a lot less time to work on projects. I've also got a new PC, and only today got around to installing my tools on it, and still haven't transferred my project files.
I'm sorry to keep you waiting, but you can rest assured I will do my best to inform you of what is happening as soon as I know myself, this is an ambitious project for me, and looking back I don't think I implemented it well, but I always do this, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to this, and that's why I have no published works, I can never finish them.
Don't worry though, I will update as soon as I figure out my next move. I really like this project, I think it has quite a bit of potential if I do it right, but I may diverge into a smaller project for the time being, this was meant to be small, but grew and grew, which was my mistake, I wanted too much in it.
Nevertheless, I'll either continue this, start a new smaller project based on this, or start a new small project and put this on the backburner. More info will follow soon. I thank you for following me, as someone with no formal qualification in game development, having even 31 followers is an honour, I'm sorry for messing you guys about with this project, but once I figure out what I'm doing next, I WILL stick to it!
After a little break from development I'm back! Work on casting has begun too!
I'm taking time to take part in the 7 Day RTS competition over at ludumdare.com, which means Deep blue will be on a bit of a slow-down this week!
I've been adding some aesthetic and ambient features to the game, including crabs!
I've begun work on implementing the population of levels with fish. It's early days, but it's looking good!
Why is there no new updates?
Dealing with other stuff atm, I'll resume development soon.

Finally a game not about a war, an alien invasion, or a princess being stolen. Its nice knowing there are people like you who enjoy creating casual games. Not really a fishing fan myself, but this game looks so beautifully promising that I'm going to have to get it when it comes out. Just looking at the screenshots is relaxing enough. Can't wait to play the actual thing :)
